After a promising set of performances at the first NTS weekend by an extremely young Hornets team which didn’t quite yield results there was a determination to be felt going into the second weekend. A tough draw meant a challenging Saturday where the team knew they would have to fight hard for any points to be gained.
A fresh faced Bees team featuring some new faces playing their first Cambridge touch matches went in to the day with a positive outlook, hoping mainly to play some good touch and have a good time. Playing in the NTS Premiership Pool B (the 2nd tier, Elite being highest) meant that the opposition would still be very competitive.
Players have been training through the winter to ready themselves for the new touch season and it is finally upon us.
So get your kit go purchase new boots (after you discover your old ones are mouldy) and gather your mates.
